Spring Bloom

Forever 21: Sheer Floral Top

Yesterday after school, Pat, Steven and Ricky decided to go on a random drive up to Highway 9 in Saratoga. We went to 7/11 to get snacks and drinks. Bay area weather was absolutely beautiful so I decided to wear my new sheer floral top from forever 21. The drive up was a little bit scary cos the roads were narrow and a lot of folks race up the highway. When we got to the spot, the view was breathtaking... Will post more pictures later cos I have to go to work at 11. =(

Love, G
P.S. Is anyone else here using Picasa 3??? Their new feature called picnik is amazing! I used the effect "cross process" on the first picture and it makes the image look very vintage and chic. LOVESSS IT.

On the other hand, cant waaaiiittt to go to LA next weekend. I miss socal!

L'epi D'or Bakery

After eating One Pot Shabu-Shabu, I was craving for something sweet so we went to Rickys mom's bakery. The shaved ice is super delicious!!! They put mango syrup, real mangoes and mango ice cream and the serving is huge so you can share it with someone... They also have this curry beef pastry that I absolutely LOVE. They don't just sell pastries and cakes but also bento boxes, smoothies, milk teas etc. You guys should really check it out if you're around the area and feeling hungry... and to also support local family owned businesses. It's right across Sears and Valco.

Foster The People

OMFREAKINGGOD... I've never been this excited with a band in SO LONG. I've listened to "Pumped Up Kicks" before but I never really got the chance to see the video. I heard a remix of Pumped Up Kicks v Walking In The Sun this morning and decided to look for the video in Youtube... and WOW... all of them are total BABBBEEESSS (ohhh heyyy ;)... Seriously good music with seriously good-looking band members... I can see these guys making it real big - although I think part of their charm is not being mainstream. I checked out their site and I desperately want to go to their June 2nd show in Mountain View but all the good tickets are sold out already. They have a show in August in San Francisco so I'll probably go there and trick Stevie to go with me HA HA HA...

They have an album coming out this May 23 and you guys should really check them out.

Guy in tan hoodie... wow. just wow. LOL

Of Vampires and Red Lips

When I first got my Nikon D3100, Steven took pictures of me in his room to test the camera.

I usually wear my make-up the same way as Lindsay in the pictorial so I was amazed when I first saw Lindsay Lohan's latest photoshoot with Tyler Shields that came out last week... We even kinda have the same pose! LOL. Anyways, Lindsay looks super gorgeous and there's something about red lips that I find very classic, dark and attractive. I used to have a thing with vampires when I was 12 or 13 so I really like this photo shoot.

I'm thinking of maybe posting make-up products I wear daily since I always get questions about how I do my make-up. Maaayyybeee... I'm super busy with school right now and I haven't had any sleep the past 2 days so sorry for the lack of update.

Spring Fling

H&M: peach boyfriend blazer, black sheer silk top Forever 21: tan open toe wedge

H&M just opened a new store in Oakridge mall is South San Jose and it's huge!!! Bought the peach boyfriend blazer and the fit is just amazing! It makes you look skinnier and it's a nice accessory for Spring since I've been abusing black blazers all throughout Winter. Anyways, the customer service in the store needs improvement cos there were not enough employees for the size of the store. Had to wait about 20-25 minutes just to pay for these 2 items. Ridiculous!!! I really hope they do something about that.

The tan wedge from Forever 21 goes with a lot of clothes. Partnered it with black tights last Tuesday and got a lot of compliments in school.

Just assembled the garment rack and I'm feeling quite proud of myself. Anyways, gotta get back to cleaning and organizing. =)

Webcam Fun

BORED...
Just wasting time until I go to work at 6.

So today I only had one class (History). I know its super dorky but I love History. People in my class fall asleep but whenever I read the book or whenever I listen to my professor, I always try to imagine the events as movie scenes to make it more interesting.

Anyways, I tried using a different shade of lipstick but I always end up using red. I'm loving this new lipstick I bought from MAC. It's called "ruby woo". It looks super old Hollywood classic. I used to wear "amplified" but my sister pointed out that it sort of looks like a highlighter-ish on me. I was debating weather to get "ruby woo" or "Russian red" but "ruby woo" is more wearable in morning and in night time. =) I highly recommend this shade cos I do know that red lipstick looks good on anyone.

I bought a shitload of clothes over the past 2 weeks and haven't really had the chance to wear it and go out cos of school =( 2 midterms tomorrow. Cant wait for summer to come already!

P.S.
Room is super dirty. Ewww... MUST CLEAN

Mitsuwa

Forever 21: white tailored top, red high waist shorts

Who else here hates smiling? I do... I'm that type of girl who looks cheesy when I smile. Anyways, went to Mitsuwa with Steven to help Ricky cure his hangover. Pat later on joined us to eat. This weekend was very chill and uneventful... had to do a lot of catching up in school. I was very disappointed with the Lakers loss today. It was Phil Jackson's last year and the performance this game was just horrible... I hope they do better next year. Oh well... On a lighter note, since I'm having a Swedish fever lately, just discovered the lovely Veronica Maggio. I've been bumping her song every morning... Enjoy!

Thor

Image taken from www.imdb.com

Thor was... A-MA-ZING!!! I think the casting was just perfect. Chris Hemsworth definitely looks god-like and I was surprised to see Stellan Skarsgard in the movie... I think he would have been a good King too but Anthony Hopkins was also perfect. Anyways... the movie itself was okay. It had really funny moments when Thor was banished to New Mexico and good visuals and fight scenes but I have to admit, the conflict lacked depth. However, I love Kat Dennings' portrayal and Natalie Portman was gorgeous as usual. I don't want to spoil it to everyone but overall, I would recommend it. Plus Chris' body is out of this world (He's like a modern yum viking LOL - who wouldn't wanna check him out?! You just have to watch the movie and see how charming he is. Sighhh...I'm having an extreme Nordic fever right now.

Metropark Closing

Harris told me that Metropark was closing. It's sad that a lot of companies are going out of business because of the bad economy. I was surprised when Borders closed and now it's Metropark. Although I haven't bought a single item in their store for a year, they definitely had nice clothing selection and good music in their stores. Anyways, their having 20-40% off sales so you guys should really look into it.

P.S.
Although I'm not partaking in any festivities, Happy Cinco De Mayo everyone! And don't drink and drive.

Ah Uh Mi Head

American Eagle: black boyfriend blazer, Forever 21: olive green loose fitted jersey tank, Hollister: shorts Bakers: wooden wedge

It was a nice bay area weather today. It was still a little bit cold in the morning so I wore a blazer. I'm in love with this American Eagle blazer. The price was super reasonable and it's really good quality. Took these pictures after school... School was a bit boring and I felt sleepy all throughout Political Science (but probably because I took 2 antihistamine pills in the morning for my stubborn allergies- lol). I'm disappointed with my test results in psychology but then again maybe it's just my Asian stereotype coming out hahaha.

Had a 2 hour break between speech and psychology and I was browsing at skins season 1 and 2 season soundtracks. Loved the show but somehow I just stopped watching after I found out that the entire original cast was going to be replaced. I have this weird habit of not finishing shows that I love (like The O.C.) because I don't want it to end (does that make sense? lol). And lately I stopped watching Dexter too after (maybe I shouldn't spoil it for everyone) after season 4.
I'm looking forward to Cinco de Mayo and the weekend. I feel like I haven't had a drink in awhile.

Sunday Morning

Forever 21: black fishnet top, black stone necklace Hollister: shorts Surf Diva: black bikini top

Took Nikki (my  nickname for my Nikkon D3100 - lol... I know, don't judge...) out for a test drive. Steven's not home so I used the self-timer button. It was super hard to position the camera but I managed to snap some decent pics.. but so far I'm super in love with my camera's capabilities. I'm really hungry right now so I'm probably gonna step out to eat. Hope everyone's having a chill Sunday.

Love, G
